Here's the real story.

I had to accept who I am and transform my entire lifestyle to be at the place I am at now. I suffered with eczema on and off since I was very young. Now, I have mild flares that pop up once in a while with the ability to reverse them easily. It hasn't been an easy journey.

The truth people don't talk about is that systemic health issues, like chronic lifelong eczema, are the result of deep rooted issues. Yes, of course, PART of those issues are directly related to your physical body. However, to heal, you need a mind, body, and soul transformation.

I had the biggest eczema breakout of my life when I was 22 years old.

I had graduated from college and moved to a new state to pursue my graduate degree. It started out as a small patch on the inside of my elbow, and within two months, it started taking over my arms. It was scary how much pain I was in and how quickly the flare spread.

Looking back, it makes sense how the eczema erupted.

I had taken rounds of antibiotics in college, setting my gut up for all kinds of imbalances. When I moved, I was alone, trying to date (unsuccessfully), working during the day, and taking classes at night. And while I was into the gym/nutrition and looked physically fit, I was also eating pints of Ben & Jerry's ice cream, bagels, cream cheese and started drinking coffee.

The biggest lesson in my journey was that I had to change my lifestyle.

I had to accept that the way I was eating, thinking, and behaving was making my body sick. I was never going to be one of those people who "could eat whatever they want" with no repecusions.

I have a long history of trauma and a very sensitive nervous system. It was time I accepted myself and nurtured myself properly.

To heal long-term I had to:

  • Eat anti-inflammatory healing foods on a regular basis

  • Start healing my inner child

  • Stop being a victim

  • Slow down & stop rushing

  • Establish habits that regulate my nervous system

And you know what, I have to practice this on a daily basis. It's my new lifestyle. It's hard, it's not fun, it's not glamorous but I have never felt better physically, mentally, or emotionally.

Thank you!
